Does University Education Pay Off?

October 5, 2018

Young people are often expected to attend university to improve their future economic status.  In the UK, only 13 per cent of jobs require a degree whilst 50 per cent of young people are attending university.  The crude math on this suggests that 75 per cent of young peoples degrees are economically worthless to them in the longer term.  I read recently how 1 in 6 theme park attendants have a degree.  So the this was an interesting review of a economic benefits of attending University published by the Conversation.  Click here to read the research.
