Spirituality has increasing become an important focus in drug and alcohol recovery. Whilst hard to define and quantify from a research perspective, a number of studies have explored the impact of spirituality on recovery processes. The results are somewhat mixed but revealing. This may be because the old adage that half people attend a church because they have found God whilst the other half attend because they are looking for God.
