Baby Talk

In lectures I often discuss the role of peer socialization on child development. This recent review in The Conversation caught my eye as it demonstrates that this occurs at a very young age. At the age of 5 months babies prefer to hear the sounds of other babies, even above their own care givers. This appears to play an instrumental role in language acquisition.
