I am a huge fan of Prof David Orlinsky's work. He has conducted extensive research on treatment processes and outcomes and his work on how psychotherapists develop is ground breaking. So I thought I would share a fascinating essay by him on addiction treatment research which offers a valuable insight into the limits and future directions of study. I have also included links to a speech given by him on what really matters in treatment outcomes in general.
